Basic Requirements:
- AGSVA Security clearance
- Defence experience desirable:
- Minimum tertiary qualifications in an engineering discipline (e.g. Mechanical, Electrical, etc.) from an accredited Australian institution, or overseas qualifications recognised by IEAust or equivalent
- Eligibility for Chartered Professional Engineer status with IEAust or equivalent in a relevant engineering stream
- Postgraduate training in an applicable specialist field (e.g. Graduate Diploma in Technology Management, Advanced Diploma in Project Management, etc.)
- Minimum eight (8) years relevant experience in engineering management and/or design/maintenance within a quality framework, specifically acting in a senior engineering role

Project Managers
Start: circa 01 July 2025

Basic Requirements:

The EL 2 Project Managers will be responsible for, but not limited to the following duties:
- Accountable for providing leadership and direction to ICT project teams and generate reports to the program management office.
- Accountable for managing and leading a team.
- Accountable for managing allocated resources, setting work area priorities, workflows, developing strategies and evaluating project outputs.
- Provide clear direction as to ensure that there is a business perspective on how the new technical capabilities will be delivered to the business.
- Accountable for the development of business implementation and change management plans.
- Understand and use experience to navigate organisational context to deliver agreed project outputs.
- Maintain knowledge of ICT project management tools to prepare project plans.
- Negotiate with stakeholders and team members.
- Evaluate project and program performance.
- Prioritise competing deadlines and manage uncertainty to deliver on agreed ICT project outputs.
The EL 1 Project Managers will be responsible for, but not limited to the following duties:
- Provide leadership and management of a multi-disciplined project team and coordinate project activities.
- Accountable for managing and leading a team.
- Responsible for management of schedule, risk, budget and resources, preparation of briefings, submissions, reports and returns relating to the project progress and issues.
- Apply established technical, operational, professional and administrative activities, procedures, practices and project management methodologies.
- Identify risks and opportunities and take account of these in planning, decision making and priority setting.
- Build and sustain stakeholder engagement.
- Analyse and interpret project performance.
- Resolve issues by identifying and developing ideas through analysis of alternative courses of action and their implications.
- Mmanage a range of project activities and coordinate project inputs.
- Prepare correspondence, briefs and reports for higher delegate and committee consideration.
- Interpret and ensure compliance with legislative, policy and regulatory frameworks.
The APS6 Project Managers will be responsible for, but not limited to the following duties:
- Manage a range of project activities and coordinate project inputs

Risk Reduction Technical Manager
Start: circa 31 March 2025
Duration: 12 months - with 2 x 12 month extension options
Location: Canberra, ACT
Basic Requirements:
- AGSVA Security clearance
- Defence experience desirable:
- Excellent organisational, communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
- Demonstrated experience in management of risk reduction or technical projects in the C4 domain
- Tertiary education in Project Management, or applicable professional training and development experiences related to working within the Once Defence Capability System.
- Technical knowledge in tactical communications networks including C4 integration between software, SOE, LANs, end-user devices, radios and waveforms.
Desired Skills/Attributes:
- Technical experience using Defence's Land C4 radio and cryptographic systems, and networks
- Experience working with stakeholders associated with the LAND 4140 RRAs
- Awareness of Defence's technical/C4 security and encryption policies
- Previous scheduling and finance experience in Defence ICT projects.
- Previous experience in preparing and presenting a project for Second Pass government consideration.
- Previous experience in delivery group roles within Defence
- Multi-discipline based education or employment, such as systems engineering, network security, software development and integration, business management and administration.
- Additional qualifications or practical experience outside of their immediate field of expertise. Additional skills in project/program management, systems engineering, communications, business management and administration, or information technology backgrounds are valued. These will assist in translating user needs, participating in vendor led discussions and developing options such as addressing schedule, cost and quality analysis for acquisition and sustainment investment decisions.
- Understanding of Joint and domain-specific staff processes and force structures within operational and tactical level headquarters. This offers potential for increased effectiveness through ADF engagement and the translation of requirements and priorities for product sustainment and LC4 Program acquisition (including introduction into service).
- Knowledge or experience working in the Defence Capability Lifecycle process, governance structures, and committee processes.

Integrated Force (IF) Systems Engineer
Start: circa 25 March 2025
Duration: 12 months - with 2 x 12 month extension options
Location: Russell / Symonston, ACT (options for remote work may be considered)
Basic Requirements:
- AGSVA Security clearance.
- Demonstrated experience to undertake the task successfully in an agile environment to support the Land C4 Program.
- Experience in preparing and delivering engineering and project documentation expected under the One Defence Capability System (ODCS), including the drafting or implementing into service the descriptions within Concepts of Employment and OCD.
- Demonstrated ability to engage with Defence stakeholders including ADF, APS and contractors.
- Systems Engineering qualifications with a minimum of five years' experience.
- A good understanding of the ODCS.
Desirable Requirements:
- Multi-disciplinary skills such as communications engineering, risk management, test and evaluation, project management, model-based systems engineering, enterprise architecture.
- Knowledge of land C4 systems in an operational and tactical environment to support the assessment and analysis of technologies.
- Knowledge in networking and communications systems within Defence (preferably Land Domain) that include (not limited to) satellite, Radiofrequency (RF), Information Communications Technology (ICT), 5G, free space optical, Mobile Ad Hoc Networking (MANET), security, and architectures.
- Military experience and/or military exercises or operations, including exposure to coalition military activities, systems, or headquarter processes.
