Lead Data Scientist

Start: circa 20 July 2026
Duration: 12 months – with 2 x 12 month extension options
Location: Canberra, ACT

• Basic Requirements:
• AGSVA Security clearance.

• Defence experience.
• Experience in designing, coordinating, developing and integrating sophisticated analytic solutions.
• Experience in data analysis, strong capability in architecting and developing analytic solutions, and a proven ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team of technical and non-technical personnel.
• Demonstrated high level interpersonal skills to communicate results using appropriate methods to a range of audiences.
• Demonstrated knowledge in the application and integration of machine learning approaches.
• Demonstrated knowledge of geospatial analysis (desirable).
